How Often Should I Send My Rent 2 Rent Landlord Letters for HMOs?
Find out the answer to this popular question here
Hello. Hello, hello.
Iβm bringing you another Rent to Rent Success Secrets Short and Sweet video and I'm loving that our community is growing here.
Letβs dive straight into this weekβs questionβ¦
Barbara, from our Rent to Rent Success Secrets Facebook group has askedβ¦
βCan I ask you how often you send out your landlord letters because I've been doing these every six weeks?β
I would suggest you send out your letters at the most once a month, and the least often every quarter. You could go every six months but in the early days, twice a year is not quite enough touches. So, I would say between one β three months.
Whether youβre sending your letters every month or three months, think about these questions
What are your goals?
How many properties are you wanting to acquire?
What period are you wanting to acquire them over?
The more aggressive you want to be, the bigger your dreams, the bigger your ambitions and the bigger your goals will be if you send the letters more often.
Now imagine if you send out 12 letters every year, you are going to get a deal - but most people don't do that. So, if you have big goals and you definitely want the deals - write 12 letters and get them sent out.
I recently recorded a video with Roy, one of our Rent 2 Rent Kickstarters in our Rent to Rent Success Secrets Facebook group β so head over to our group and join! Iβve also added a link to the video here.
Now what happened with Roy was he'd sent out his first three letters and received no replies. He then sent his fourth letter out and received five replies and is now talking to five landlords and they've all got multiple properties.
It's hugely exciting for Roy and he goes into more details in the video.
But what was the difference between that fourth letter and the first three letters Roy sent?
There were quite a few key differences (which Roy covers in the video)
The number of people the letters were sent to
The content in the letter
What I love about this story is how many people tell you that landlord letters don't work because they've maybe sent one letter and had no response.
There is a way to make it work for you and that is by following the system and by doing it until you get the result that you want β so watch Royβs video, I know youβre going to love it.
I see lots of people writing their letters out by hand, printing them off, stuffing in envelopes β but there is no need to do that guys.
Weβve been using a company called Stannp and we absolutely love it. They do everything.
You send them an electronic copy of your letter and your spreadsheet with all the names and addresses and they will do everything else and it's less than the price of a first-class stamp.
Have you seen our letters?
They are amazing and have helped us get over 2 million in contracts and they've been working amazingly for us and our Kickstarters.
We've got two templates that we give out free and you can get those here.
I would love to see a copy of your letters as there is always a secret β but most of the time its about how many you send out and ensuring you get the message right.
Thank you all for watching and make sure you check out the video with Roy β it might be inspiration for you.
All the best,
Stephanie & Nicky
