Can I do rent to rent nationally or should I stay local?
This weeks Ask The Angels question is from Marvin and he is interested in finding out more about whether to do rent to rent locally to where he lives or nationally.
So, here is Marvin's question...
"I've been following your videos on Instagram regarding property investment, and wow, I'm mesmerised!!!
In regards to the rent 2 rent scheme from landlords, do you do this only in the town you're based or can you do this nationally? ”
This is a question many people have.
Where should you start?
People are doing rent to rent in cities all over the country.
Rent to rent works in most cities.
The question is, should you start near home or far away?
You can do either.
For example we outsource the day-to-day management to our team so we could live further away from our properties because we’re not doing the day to day management.
Judith lives abroad and has her rent to rent business in the UK managed by a property manager.
Do I recommend you start your first deal far from home?
No I don’t.
2 reasons.
1. It really important when analysing the deal to know your area, so it helps if it’s an area you know well.
2. You keep the profit. If someone else is doing the work, someone else is getting paid.
